Jeffrey Zeldman to Keynote Penn State Web 2010 Conference

Published on October 6, 2009

National lecturer and "Godfather of Web Standards," Jeffrey Zeldman, will appear as the keynote speaker at the Penn State Web Conference on Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Penn Stater Conference Center Hotel. Zeldman is a well-known author, speaker, evangelist and visionary in Web design and standards. Aligned with Zeldman's visionary ideals, this year's conference theme will be "2010: A Web Odyssey."

Jeffrey has long promoted the use of standards-based, cross-browser solutions to Web design problems. His "industry shaking guidebook" titled, Designing With Web Standards is currently being updated for the realities of today's Web design (see http://www.zeldman.com/dwws/ for more information).

Zeldman publishes A List Apart (http://www.alistapart.com/), and his own blog, The Daily Report (http://www.zeldman.com/). He also runs his own Web design studio, Happy Cog and co-founded An Event Apart (http://www.aneventapart.com) and the Web Standards Project (WaSP), a group of professional Web site designers dedicated to disseminating and encouraging the use of the standards promoted by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
